Artist Statement

How often the word ā€œIā€ creeps into conversation, asserting itself with casual disregard for other pronouns. This redirection toward self changes the balance of things. We focus less on what others contribute ā€“ being only partially involved in the exchange. Egotism and self-involvement can render even the most sentient of us deaf, dumb, and blind.
